ABOUT US
Dustin and Amy Edwards wanted nothing more than to be parents. After a long battle with infertility, they finally found out they were pregnant in November 2017. In March 2018, they went for their anatomy scan and received the news that their beloved child would not survive. On March 25, 2018, Josie Amelia Edwards was born sleeping.

In 2021, Josie's mom started collecting items to deliver to the hospital where Josie was born. Friends and family members pitched in to help create the first "Josie Baskets" and they were delivered to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois on her third birthday. Items in the baskets were hand-selected by Josie's mom to help families who lose a child in the hospital. The bereavement team at Blessing ensures that every family who loses a baby at the hospital goes home with a Josie Basket.

Each year on Josie's birthday, more baskets were created and delivered to the hospital. Eventually. we had more items than we needed for the Quincy area. In 2024, Josie Basket Project became an official 501(c)(3) organization and started sending baskets nationally. In addition, several other charitable projects began.
